Responsibilities for Dynamics AX consultant

• Demonstrate the ability to identify necessary tables in AX with minimal supervision.
• Learn and document new features and business processes to share with both the dynamics AX team and clients.
• Assist in the implementation of new modules and modify existing ones as required.
• Install and configure the Point of Scale hardware, including tablets, label printers, and receipt printers.
• Provide deep expertise on Microsoft Dynamics applications, assessing customer business processes against standard Dynamics functionality.
• Offer comprehensive knowledge of the Microsoft Dynamics retail application, evaluating client processes in comparison to standard features.
• Understand and execute key activities and deliverables for client engagements and internal projects.
• Install, configure, and oversee Microsoft Dynamics AX in both production and non-production environments.
• Develop and maintain workflows within various Dynamics AX modules.
• Manage user accounts including creation, modification, and deletion, while overseeing system access.
   

Qualifications for Dynamics AX consultant

• Ability to identify the current state of the project and provide ongoing support for AX financial management and retail users.
• A hybrid technical and functional background with expertise in configuring financial modules in AX, particularly for retail implementations.
• Must concrete examples of deliverables such as functional requirements, design, outputs, and test plans.
• Solid understanding of financial processes within an ERP environment.
• Willingness to travel to client sites for on-location work.

Preferred experience for Dynamics AX Consultant

• Experience mentoring and supporting other techno-functional team members.
• Strong industry knowledge, paired with a proactive approach to managing time, costs, and deadlines.
• Hands-on experience with at least one year-long project in the relevant domain.
• Proven experience using Microsoft Dynamics implementation methodology.
• Ability to follow agreed-upon policies and procedures for projects, including quality assurance, team communication, and setting up project environments.
• 3+ years of ERP implementation experience.
• 2+ years of experience with Axapta or an equivalent ERP financial package with knowledge of GL, AP, AR, and project accounting.
• Deep understanding of financial processes within an ERP environment, including Quote to cash, order to payment, and production costing. 
• Strong interpersonal skills for collaborating with dealers and markets to ensure their processes align with the system rollout.
• Preferred candidates will have completed relevant product certification exams.
• Experience in consulting for Microsoft AX, with an emphasis on business modeling and software implementation, is highly desired.
