    Job Description

    We are seeking a seasoned MuleSoft Architect to lead the design, implementation, and management of MuleSoft-based integration solutions that support both business and IT objectives. This role combines technical expertise with leadership, requiring collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of integration initiatives. The ideal candidate will have an in-depth understanding of MuleSoft's Anypoint Platform, a strong background in API and microservices architecture, and a proven ability to lead technical teams in fast-paced environments.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Analyze both business and IT requirements to create and maintain scalable integration architectures that incorporate SOA and ETL principles.
    • Define, establish, and enforce integration and data standards across the organization to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
    • Assist in developing secure, scalable governance and operational models for integration solutions.
    • Evaluate new applications and technologies for integration, defining necessary protocols and infrastructure.
    • Create high-level integration designs, guiding implementation teams on MuleSoft components and patterns.
    • Select appropriate deployment approaches and design Mule applications for various Anypoint Platform runtime deployment options, whether hosted by MuleSoft or the customer.
    • Apply the full software development lifecycle (design, development, testing, deployment) to ensure high-quality solutions.
    • Provide insights into performance, scalability, reliability, monitoring, and operational concerns for integration solutions.
    • Stay up-to-date on industry standards and technological advancements to continuously improve solutions.
       

    Education and Certifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS, or equivalent experience.
    • MuleSoft Certified Platform Architect or MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect Certification.
       

    Technical Expertise

    • 7-10 years of experience in integration projects.
    • 4+ years of hands-on experience with MuleSoft.
    • In-depth knowledge of microservices architecture and API strategy.
    • Proficiency with Anypoint Platform, including Flow Design, API Design, DataWeave, CloudHub, Runtime Fabric, API Management, and EDI integration.
    • Experience developing and managing flows using Anypoint Studio and CloudHub.
    • Previous experience as an architect for complex MuleSoft deployments.
    • Familiarity with MuleSoft offerings, design patterns, and Salesforce integration.
    • Experience with third-party MuleSoft Anypoint Connectors and MuleSoft on-premise/cloud solutions.
    • Expertise in message queue design patterns and integrating with Cloud/SaaS applications, APIs, SDKs, and legacy systems.
    • Strong understanding of API Gateway management, including API security and deployment.
    • Extensive knowledge of Mule ESB and related architecture patterns such as Microservices, Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), Batch Integration, and RESTful JSON services.
    • Experience with Mulesoft’s catalyst-based approach and securing/managing APIs using API Manager.
    • Proficiency with MUnit and test-driven development.
    • Experience working with the latest MuleSoft versions.
    • Expertise in RUST, with the ability to create custom policies for Flex Gateway and train customer teams on RUST and custom policy development.
       

    Preferred Skills

    • Hands-on experience with Mule 4.
    • Expertise in designing systems for high availability, fault tolerance, and performance optimization.
    • Knowledge of API observability, including performance monitoring and reliability management.
    • Additional experience in RUST for creating custom policies on Flex Gateway and training teams in custom policy creation.
