    Job Title: Oracle EBS Technical OR Oracle Application Development

    Work Location: Richardson, TX (Day 1 Onsite)

     

    Job Overview:

    As an Oracle Application Developer, you will play a pivotal role in the successful implementation and ongoing support of Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) applications. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of activities, from problem-solving and troubleshooting to designing and integrating solutions that meet the evolving needs of the business. 

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Utilize your hands-on experience with Oracle EBS, whether in a support capacity or through project implementation, to assist users effectively with their inquiries and technical issues.
    • Act as a primary point of contact for users, providing independent resolution to their challenges while ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
    • Conduct thorough root cause analyses for issues faced by users and propose actionable resolutions.
    • Communicate findings and recommendations fluently to all levels of stakeholders, including business users, technical teams, and management.
    • Efficiently manage Oracle Service Requests (SRs) with Oracle Support, demonstrating exceptional communication skills throughout the resolution process.
    • Document and track issues meticulously, ensuring a clear audit trail and timely follow-up.
    • Engage in functional testing and debugging of RICE (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Extensions) components, resolving any issues that arise.
    • Collaborate with functional teams to ensure that all components perform as intended and meet business requirements.
    • Meet aggressive delivery timelines while coordinating with remote teams, demonstrating flexibility in accommodating different time zones.
    • Proactively identify and solve problems to keep projects on track and aligned with organizational goals.
    • Leverage your knowledge of Oracle APIs and open interfaces for data conversion, ensuring efficient data handling and integration.
    • Engage in technical development and data conversion tasks, ensuring adherence to best practices and organizational standards.
    • Design, develop, and implement modular programming utilities that enhance productivity and maintain uniformity across applications.
    • Responsible for coding and unit testing application software across various projects, including production support and enhancements.
    • Develop technical solutions based on predefined requirements, crafting components such as extensions, views, customizations, modifications, reports, and workflows either independently or as part of a collaborative team.
       

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
    • A total of 5 to 8 years of solid experience in the Oracle EBS Suite, demonstrating a deep understanding of its functionality and capabilities.
       

    Technical Skills:

    • Strong technical knowledge of Oracle applications, with proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL.
    • Apply strong technical skills in SQL, Oracle Forms, Reports, and BI Publisher to support data conversions and other technical requirements.
    • Maintain a robust understanding of Oracle EBS tables, specifically within the context of Oracle Financials and Supply Chain modules.
    • Hands-on experience with RICE components, Oracle Forms, BI Publisher Reports, Workflows, and UNIX Shell Scripting is essential.
    • Familiarity with Oracle Application Framework (OAF) and Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) is advantageous.
    • A good techno-functional understanding of the Order to Cash (O2C) process, ensuring that you can bridge the gap between technical and business needs.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to tackle complex challenges systematically.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective interaction with stakeholders at all levels.
       

    Essential Experience:

    • Proficiency in data tools such as TOAD, SQL Developer, SQL Loader, and PL/SQL Developer is essential.
    • A minimum of 3 years of experience in writing UNIX Shell scripts capable of executing OS operations and manipulating data in databases like Oracle and Teradata.
    • Demonstrated experience in identifying business and functional requirements, with active participation in the requirements gathering, design, and build phases of projects.
    • In-depth knowledge of Oracle 11g database internals, particularly concerning locking mechanisms and performance tuning.
    • Proven experience in constructing complex SQL queries, dynamic SQL statements, and utilizing analytical functions and Oracle Objects.
    • Familiarity with various Business Intelligence tools and their application in data analysis and reporting.
