    Job Title: SAP BO Administration

    Work Location: Richardson, TX 75082 (Open for Full Remote)
     

    Job Overview:

    We are seeking a skilled SAP BO Administrator to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, and support of our SAP Business Objects environment. This role requires a deep understanding of SAP Bo architecture, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various teams to ensure the smooth operation of our business intelligence systems.

    The SAP BO Administrator will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, and support of the SAP Business Objects platform. This includes managing user access, security settings, and system configurations, and ensuring the overall health and performance of the system. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various teams to support business intelligence initiatives.

    Role of SAP BO Administration:

    • Led the installation, configuration, and maintenance of SAP BusinessObjects components, ensuring the smooth functioning of Enterprise, Web Intelligence, Explorer, Dashboards, Lumira, and other relevant systems.
    • Monitor the SAP BO environment to ensure optimal system performance, availability, and reliability. Proactively identify and resolve issues related to server connectivity, data access, system stability, and application performance.
    • Plan and execute system upgrades, patches, and service pack installations in coordination with the IT infrastructure and development teams. Ensure that all upgrades follow SAP BO best practices and security standards.
    • Work closely with database administrators, network administrators, and other IT departments to optimize overall system performance, establish backup and recovery strategies, and maintain high availability for the SAP BO platform.
    • Configure and manage user access controls, security profiles, and authentication mechanisms in alignment with organizational policies and industry security standards. Monitor user activity and enforce data protection measures to safeguard sensitive information.
    • Develop and maintain comprehensive system documentation, including installation guides, configuration procedures, troubleshooting manuals, and user guides. Provide end-user training and technical support, addressing queries and resolving issues with SAP BO applications.
    • Stay informed on the latest SAP Business Objects updates, releases, patches, and industry trends to ensure the platform remains current and secure.
       

    Key Responsibilities:

    • System Administration: Manage and administer the SAP Business Objects environment, including user access, security settings, and system configurations.
    • Performance Monitoring: Set up and monitor BO servers to ensure optimal performance and availability.
    • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to SAP Bo applications and infrastructure.
    • Upgrades and Patches: Plan and execute system upgrades, patches, and maintenance activities to keep the environment up-to-date.
    • Backup and Recovery: Implement and manage backup and recovery processes to safeguard data integrity.
    • Auditing and Compliance: Set up auditing policies and manage events and alerts related to CMS, Audit, and Reporting Database services.
    • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures.
    • Collaboration: Work closely with business analysts, developers, and other It teams to support business intelligence initiatives and projects.
       

    Qualifications:

    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
    • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in SAP BO administration or a similar role.
       

    Technical Skills:

    • Proficiency in SAP BusinessObjects tools and technologies.
    • Strong knowledge of database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle).
    • Experience with server administration and network configurations.
    • Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell scripting) is a plus.
