    Job Title: SAP PP

    Work Location: Richardson, TX (Initial Remote)

     

    Job Overview:

    As a Senior ERP SAP PP (Production Planning) Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of SAP PP-related processes, including analysis, design, development, enhancement, maintenance, testing, and support. Your role will focus on manufacturing functions, applications, interfaces, and other functional objects within SAP implementation projects. Additionally, you will provide ongoing system maintenance and operational support. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential, as you will ensure alignment with company objectives, policies, and procedures. You will lead the design, specification creation, program review, and both functional and technical aspects of SAP systems, playing a key role in business transformation and system improvement initiatives.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Analyze, design, develop, and improve SAP PP solutions to support manufacturing functions and align with business requirements.
    • Lead SAP implementation projects, ensuring timely development, testing, and maintenance of functional objects and interfaces.
    • Provide daily operational support and maintenance for the SAP PP module and related systems.
    • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including other SAP functional areas, to ensure seamless integration and system performance.
    • Oversee the design, technical specifications, and functional requirements of SAP systems, driving business solutions and continuous system improvements.
    • Guide and mentor project teams, ensuring compliance with SAP best practices and company standards.
    • Contribute to SAP business transformation initiatives, helping optimize processes and enhance overall system functionality.
       

    Qualifications for SAP PP Consultant:

    • SAP Expertise: In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with SAP configuration, particularly within the Production Planning (PP) and Quality Management (QM) modules.
    • QM Processes: Strong understanding of QM inspection lot processes and handling of QM notifications.
    • Production Planning Knowledge: Experience in Sales and Operations Planning, Master Production Scheduling, and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) is a plus.
    • SAP Implementation Tools: Prior experience working with SAP implementation methodologies such as ASAP, ValueSAP, and/or Solution Manager is preferred.
    • Consulting Experience: Experience working with management or IT consulting firms is advantageous.
    • Hands-On Experience: A minimum of 5 years of hands-on SAP PP/QM configuration experience as a functional consultant.
       

    Desired Experience for SAP PP Specialist:

    • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
    • In-depth knowledge and expertise in SAP R/3 PP, SD, or Logistics is essential.
    • A minimum of 10 years of overall experience within IT or ERP systems, with a focus on SAP PP.
    • Proven success in IT functional areas, with a strong track record of achievements.
    • Significant experience in a systems development organization, with expertise in SAP R/3 and SAP SCM tools.
    • 6-8 years of experience in leading teams or managing projects, demonstrating strong leadership skills.
       

    Experience and Skills Required:

    • Extensive experience working with SAP PP, relevant to the level of the position (junior, mid, or senior).
    • Prior experience in analyzing projects and participating in project activities from initiation to implementation.
    • Strong understanding of business process functionality and experience with production planning and quoting projects.
    • Comfortable leading discussions with business stakeholders to gather and translate requirements into technical specifications.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical concepts in business-friendly terms.
    • Solid knowledge of IT systems and their application within business environments.
    • Fluency in English is required, and additional language skills are a plus.
    • Flexibility and willingness to travel for business needs when required.
