- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience as a Splunk Administrator or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in Splunk Enterprise, Splunk Cloud, and related technologies.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, and security principles.
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and automation tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Splunk certifications (e.g., Splunk Certified Admin, Splunk Certified Architect).

- Splunk Design and Implementation: Proven experience in the design, deployment, and management of Splunk environments, including configuring Indexers, Forwarders, and Search-Heads.
- Splunk Administration: Expertise in implementing and administering Splunk, ensuring seamless integration within the IT ecosystem.
- Virtualization Technologies: Strong familiarity with virtualization tools such as Hypervisor and VMware, allowing for effective Splunk deployment within virtual environments.
- Linux and Windows Administration: Solid experience in managing Splunk agents across both Linux and Windows platforms, with a deep understanding of the technical architecture of the Splunk system.
- Splunk Forwarder Setup: Experience in configuring Splunk Forwarders to accommodate new application tiers introduced into the environment.
- Search Optimization: Skilled in identifying inefficient searches and dashboards, collaborating with their creators to optimize performance and reduce system strain.
- Capacity Planning & Optimization: Continuous monitoring of the Splunk infrastructure to ensure efficient capacity planning and system optimization for enhanced performance.
- Log Troubleshooting: Competence in troubleshooting log feeds, performing field extractions, and optimizing search time for better operational efficiency.
- Security Implementation: Strong ability to provide granular, role-based security measures, including restricting access to sensitive logs and data to maintain data privacy.
- Data Onboarding and Customization: Experience onboarding new data into Splunk, inputting new information, creating customized dashboards, and extracting meaningful insights.
- Report Generation: Proficiency in generating and customizing reports to meet specific organizational needs.
